How it all started…
Our JOurney from Guitar Lessons Wylie Texas to Wylie School of Music…
Before we were the Wylie School of Music, we were Guitar Lessons Wylie Texas. Steve has been teaching for over 17 years and loves helping people discover the joy of music. When he decided to make teaching his full-time career, the name ‘Guitar Lessons Wylie Texas’ felt like a natural choice.
As we have grown through the years, it became apparent that we needed a name that more accurately reflected the services that we offer. So in 2025 , Guitar Lessons Wylie Texas became the Wylie School of Music.
Steve and his wife Courtney run the Wylie School of Music together. They have 3 boys, 1 dog, 1 cat, and a whole lotta fish!

At Wylie School of Music, we know every student learns differently. That’s why we personalize lessons to fit their goals—whether they want to play for fun, perform on stage, or grow as musicians. Our hands-on, performance-based approach builds confidence while they master their instruments.
