Everything You Need to Know About Boo on Ballard 2025 ๐
Get ready, Wylie! One of our favorite community traditions is almost here: Boo on Ballard is set for Thursday, October 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Historic Downtown Wylie. Each year, thousands of families fill Ballard Avenue to enjoy trick-or-treating, fun activities, and a whole lot of Halloween spirit โ and 2025 promises to be no different.
What to Expect
Trick-or-Treating: Downtown businesses, nonprofits, and organizations will line the streets from Hwy 78 to Brown Street handing out candy.
Glow in the Park: Head over to Olde City Park for attractions like a zipline, inflatables, mechanical bulls, and more.
Trunk-or-Treat: The Cross Church will host a special trunk-or-treat on Marble Avenue.
Photo Ops: Snap some pics at the Victorian Haunt and other decorated areas.
This is a free event for the community, hosted by the City of Wylie in partnership with the Downtown Merchants Association.

Wylie School of Music Will Be There!
Weโre excited to share that Wylie School of Music will have a booth at Boo on Ballard again this year. (Last year, you may have spotted us under our old name, Guitar Lessons Wylie Texas โ weโve since rebranded to better reflect our growing programs.)
Stop by to say hello, grab some candy, and meet a few of our teachers and students. We love being part of this tradition and canโt wait to see all the creative costumes!

Tips for Families
Arrive early: Streets fill up quickly โ give yourself time for parking and walking.
Bring a big candy bag: With so many booths, your kids will need the space!
Plan your route: Ballard can get crowded, so decide whether you want to start on one end and work your way down.
Dress for the weather: Late October evenings in Texas can be cool (or surprisingly warm).
Why We Love Boo on Ballard
This event isnโt just about candy โ itโs about community. Each year, more than 9,000 people attend, making it one of the biggest and most beloved gatherings in Wylie. Weโre proud to be part of it and thankful to the City, downtown merchants, and all the volunteers who make it happen.
๐ Mark your calendars now for Thursday, October 23!
And donโt forget to swing by the Wylie School of Music booth to pick up candy, say hi, and learn a little more about how we help students have fun, grow in confidence, and master their instrument.
